Tobago dinner La Tartaruga

La Tartaruga

Trini Foodie Adventure follows food if it is restaurants, or trying local or international recipes. Giving you the experience first hand. Please enjoy the experiences shared.

Tucked into the small veranda of a house, La Tartaruga is located in Buccoo Village Tobago. The experience has been one of the best for authentic Italian Food. Reservations are a must as many people return every time they are in Tobago.

Chef Gabriele De Gaetano and his staff treats everyone as equals, they are amazing and caring making the quality of service above most restaurants.

The menu folders were created by different persons drawings on the front and back folder cover from the Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Board.

The Menu at La Tortaruga

On ordering Appetizers, the waiter brought several small plates for a trial of different appetizers which had it's origins from various regions of Italy which the Chef and his family visited. Chef Gabriele comes to your table describes how each dish is prepared and explains the order in which to eat it. He personalizes the experience for each person that comes to his restaurant.

  1. I am not a fan of authentic Italian food but your blog made this place seem so good! The pictures are not professional advertisement pics so it made the review much more genuine! Thanks to you my wife and I enjoyed a place that was amazing! I would never have known much less considered going there if it wasn't for you! They owe you a commission on the $700 bill! Thanks Trini Foodie!
